CPU Machine Check Architecture Error Dump

Hallo,

Keine andere Hardware dran. Sollte ich zurück zu MacOS Catalina? Danke!

What does that mean and what can I do. BigSur installed only. No other hardware on it. Should I go back to macOS Catalina?

I reinstalled MacOS Catallina via restore. (Command + Option + R) Then upgraded to Big Sur 11.1. It's just Big Sur on the MacBook. The error only occurred under BigSur. But that several times.

machine checks (MCA) are hardware or very low level software or firmware. No matter you are stuck. Full stop.

If you can go back to Catalina than sure why not... otherwise you are dead in the water as it stands, and contacting Apple as posted above is the option if you want to sort through the issue, pending some update to correct the installer.

We have already seen issues with the 13" 2013 & 2014 MBP and macOS Big Sur.

I suspect an incompatibility in the new macOS and firmware on your 12" Macbook

Revert to previous macOS

This is an English language community. Think official Air Traffic control language. There is a German language destination for those specific language questions.

Have you upgraded that 2017 MacBook to Big Sur 11.1 with the same architecture error messages?

Don't use the <> tool unless you are posting code, or Terminal commands. It forms a continuous scrolling entry that is hard to read when using it with ordinary text.

Are you attempting to install a Big Sur beta version? If not, I have no idea how to resolve a machine architecture check condition in Big Sur on that 2017 MacBook, and you may need to stop at the Catalina installation where the problem no longer exists.

You might send direct feedback (in English) to the Apple macOS product team, and they may reach out to you about this hardware issue, and request deeper information from the operating system itself.

Contact Apple Support. That Mac is suffering from a hardware fault.

CATERR = catastrophic error condition

MCA = machine check architecture

Not that any of it matters. Those errors are the result of a serious internal failure of the Intel CPU.
