Messenger keeps asking me to sign in then closes itself.

Messages keeps asking me to sign in on my Mac mini OS Big Sur 11.1. It accepts my login and password then closes itself. I restarted with same results. I can sign in on my iPad and use messages no problem.

Cannot log into Messages on Big Sur Hi All, I am not able to log into Messages on Big Sur on the Macbook Air M1. When I use my iCloud username and password, first an "Unexpected Error Occurred" message comes up, then when I enter the password again, the Messages keeps loading until I Force Close it. I was able to use Messages on my old Intel Macbook Air. Does anyone know what is the problem, and how can I log into Messages? The Macbook Air is running the latest Big Sur 11.2.1, and I also have an iPhone running the latest iOS 14.4. Kind regards, Milan
