I have a question and I am very confused, I have to buy a new MacBook pro 16 inch and I will also configure it(i9, 32 gb ram), but I am confused should I still the MacBook pro 16 inch or I should buy MacBook pro m1 ((16 gb ram). i am an architecture student. i have to use software like autocad, sketchup, twinmotion (3D rendering), rhino. i don't how will they work under rosetta 2. i am very confused. Please help me out. Please reply and help me out.

The M1 MBP is limited to a 13" screen at this time....
Keep in mind you have 14 days for a full refund or exchange if the"software like autocad, sketchup, twinmotion (3D rendering), rhino" does not perform as anticipated.
Rosetta 2 an emulator built into macOS Big Sur that will enable ARM Macs to run old Intel apps. Rosetta 2 essentially “translates” instructions that were written for Intel processors into commands that Apple’s chips can understand. Developers won’t need to make any changes to their old apps; they’ll just work.
Rosetta 2 works with Intel-based apps distributed through the Mac App Store, and desktop applications downloaded and installed from external sources.
To the user, Rosetta is mostly transparent. If an executable contains only Intel instructions, macOS automatically launches Rosetta and begins the translation process.

Contact the School of Architecture and ask them for their recommendation on which computer is best for your course of study.
