Homesharing on Apple TV 4 and Mac not working

When I try to watch a home video on Apple TV from the computer icon the only thing that shows is a partial music library. Homesharing is on, nothing has changed except the updates to the Mac and Apple TV. I have no Library for music, downloaded movies or home videos.

Apple TV won't show the movies from my Mac. After updating to latest version of tvOS and macOS my Apple TV won't show the movies from my Mac. Homesharing is enabled and I can see my library in the app "Computer" on the Apple TV - but choosing Movies just gives message "no movies in library". And most frustrating it used to work...... Apple TV not showing shared home library I can put movies and TV shows on my MacPro 2019, and I can stream them on my iPad on the same network - section appears showing “EDIT’s Library” where I can see everything I have added to the AppleTV+ app on my Mac). But the AppleTV does not show any of my Home Sharing. It shows Recent Purchases, Movies, TV Shows, Family Sharing (just like my iPad) but. no “Edit’s Library”. A Yes Home Sharing is turned on everywhere. Yes everything is the same account. I’d gone through all the community posts and Google searches. I’ve compared the settings on the iPad and AppleTV. It should work but it does not.

Apple TV home sharing doesn't work On the app when I go to computers / home video I get a message like " No libraries connected. Turn on home sharing" That is on and has been working for some time. Tried re booting etc Happens on a regular basis Ideas?

To troubleshoot try changing the video type from Home Movie to Movie on the Mac and see if the ATV finds it. In Mojave this is done via ITunes by choosing Get Info when right-clicking on the video. Not sure about Catalina/Big Sur.

As it happens I always change my home videos to Movie or TV Show and have not encountered your issue.
