Iphone SE 1st generation un restorable

so i set a passcode I can't remember on an old phone, I just updated and tried to restore now I'm stuck with it telling me to press home button to upgrade. When I push the home button it asks for my pass code. It's not connecting to Itunes when I plug it in so I can't finish restoring. Thanks!

I can not update and restore my old phone because i don't remember the passcode. itunes will not let me restore it without the proper update but i can not update said phone without getting into it.
