Magic Trackpad 2: haptic feedback issue

I have have a problem with the magick trackpad 2: haptic feedback no longer works. The pointer works fine, but I'm not getting any feedback. I use it on a MacBook Pro 16" 2020. I tried to reset PRAM, VRAM, SMC, I tried to make the MacBook safe boot but the problem persists. It didn't even work to reset the bluetooth module and delete the com files. apple.AppleMultitouchTrackpad.plist and

com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.trackpad.plist. Is there a solution to the problem? I have never dropped it and I find it absurd that an accessory at this price breaks so suddenly.
