Does my ipad have a SIM card

I am replacing my iPad Pro with cellular and when I went to pop the SIM card out, the tray was empty. Shouldn’t I have a SIM card on a device with cellular service?

No, unless you have contracted a Cellular contact with a Cellular provider, your WiFi+Cellular iPad will not have a SIM card.

Cellular DATA service (and dedicated SIM card) is provided by the carrier you decide to sign a cellular data plan with.
