iCloud mail widget failure

After iOS 14.3 update the mail widget broke. Does not accept any other email provider registrations and says my iCloud ID is already registered but the screen is frozen on add accounts page, and I can’t see any Apple emails at all. I remember there was a prior problem with 14.2 that kept showing “ghost” unread emails, but this is worse not being able to see anything. Any suggestions? Thanks!
