External Keyboard types different keys

I just used my external keyboard now it works perfectly before but now that I need it most its keys does notcorresponds to whats appearing on the screen!! ; becomes ñ and : becomes Ñ, and all other punctuations marks, does anyone have the same problem? What did u guys do? I'm currently using an ipad pro 12.9 2020 and it is on its latest ios update...

Go to settings > general > keyboard > hardware keyboard and tap over at the right edge and make sure you have "US" checked and not "automatic" or something else. It sounds like you have Spanish checked instead.


Also go to settings > general > keyboard > keyboards and remove Spanish from your list if it is there.
