my ipad is stuck onj apple logo

Hi there i cannot get my ipad off the apple logo screen.I tried the hard rest eiththe home and power button and it turns off tyhen goes right back to the apple logo.Is my i[pad ruined forever.My husband turned it off because our sons game froze.
