iPhone 11 - call audio routing to speakers not working.

I just noticed this issue today, because till today, my auto routing audio playback to the iPhone’s built-in speaker is not defaulting to play VM via speakers. It DOES work when answering a call... the speaker auto selected.

I’m on a new iPhone 11, vs 14.3, and I’ve already verified that audio routing is set to speakers; that Bluetooth has no headphone connected, and everywhere else advised via Google search results and the phone’s settings search.

How did this happen, and how can I prevent it happening again?

Thank you for your assistance!

Hello Appdicted,

It sounds like your Voicemails are not playing on speaker. We understand how important this is to you and we are here to help.

Let's go ahead and open your voicemail and select Speaker prior to playing a message. It should turn blue. Once that is selected, every voicemail you play should play from the speaker.
