Unable to use Touch ID , or new fingerprint after updating to Bigsur

My touch ID stopped working, Now I am unable to add a new fingerprint.


Sytemprefence does not accept my login password anymore. Does anyone face similar issues?

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295


if no resolve

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
