Will iCloud backup include watsapp ?

Will iCloud backup include Watsapp?

I get a message to free up space on my phone to backup watsapp. Please advise how I can backup watsapp to restore to my new iPhone, Thank you!

iPhone 6, iOS 12

my question was more towards watsapp backup, does iCloud backup include watsapp? I am unable to see any watsapp files in my iCloud Drive which is the default location of watsapp backup in iCloud.
