If you are attempting to output video to a connected display from your Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you are likely using an unsupported video output configuration. Some examples of unsupported video output configurations include:

  • Using a 30-pin dock connector to VGA adapter.
  • Any non-HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) compliant display.

To resolve this issue, switch to a supported video output adapter. More information on supported Apple A/V adapters can be found on Apple's support site.
