How to remove the Archive folder in Mail?
Just wondering if there is any way to suppress, hide, or remove the Archive folder in Mail. I've no use for it since I file by topic and it just gets in the way.
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.1

If you want to delete it: click on Control-button + on the archive mailbox and then you can remove it
Thanks, but evidently not so simple. If I ctrl-click 'Archive' and select Delete Mailbox it asks if I want to (permanently) delete the mailbox 'iCloud'. Errr ... not really. That folder seems to be tied up at iCloud level.
Hello Apple - any chance of making its presence optional?
Thanks, but will that remove it also from iCloud? I use Airmail and was told that I can't remove it there because it comes from the (iCloud) server.
Yes, it will also be removed from iCloud because iCloud is a sync service
