what is the best way to keep an Ipad warm during outdoor use?

Hi. I work on a team that runs outdoor, drive through COVID testing sites. We exclusively use IPads to register our patients.

The Ipads are getting glitchy in the cold weather and this delays our ability to register and test at our sites.

Does anyone know of a way to keep Ipads warm while being used outdoors?

Any help or ideas you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Do you have these iPads in cases? The operating temperatures for the iPad go down to 32 degrees F. As you get closer to that, you will see them begin to act up slightly, some due to LCD issues, and cold hands will also make them act funny as well. The best you can do is try swapping out every so often with other devices that people may be keeping inside coats if possible. It is difficult given the temperatures this time of year if you are in the northern hemisphere. The iPads are not really designed for extreme cold weather usage.

Most mobile computing devices are not designed to use in very cold/extreme cold conditions.

If possible, you might want to figure out a way to really warm up a plie of blankets, like in a vehicle, or in some sort of portable heating chest, or something, to put under or surround iPads to keep them warm for short periods of time when in use and to be able to rotate these blankets out when they become too cold to keep an iPad warm when exposed to outdoor cold temperatures.
