Drainage and itching when using AirPods Pro

Hello . This is exactly what is happening to me . What we can do ? I just used twice and I can’t stand the itching and sore . I’m using this droop but is $250 products so how Apple can reward customer that can proff this is what the AirPod is causing ? I used other (cheap one ) and never happened. I’m cleaning every time I tried to used and nothing help . Definitely Something in the AirPod cause allergy. Plus the battery charger is not longer that should be .

Airpod pro fluid drain does not seem to occur when used with non apple devices (Android) which is beyond my understanding of the tech involved... just throwing it out there in the hope that more folks will check and validate the theory and at some point apple will get in on it

I swItched out the tips with two different brands of aftermarket tips, but they all caused the same problem.

I tried the Comply tips (in the link above), and they did not help. I also tried another brand, and they did not help. Not sure why.

I have had the exact reaction you are describing wit the clear drainage and swelling in the external part of my ears. Thank you for posting, very helpful.

I have problems with air pod . Every time I used it I got runny crusty itchy even ear infections. Not happy at all I had to stop using it .

Very similar experience - the lack of response to address this issue is very poor on Apple - Not acceptable.

Yes, same with me. I'm having ear drainage, itching, and peeling. I can't wear it anymore. If I put it on I have the symptoms come back.

Same here used them for a better part of a year, then suddenly both ears itch like crazy w clear drainage.

FYI I bought foam tips and even air pod covers and they didn't help. I wouldn't waste the money.

Wow I never tried it with non-apple devices. I have tried it with noise cancellation disabled though.

Same issue here, I used my AirPod Pro's for a few months with a distinct recollection that I used to get quite itchy ears but no discharge..

During a recent holiday I wore the AirPod's for an extended period of time and I had the usual itching but then also started to get some swelling and clear discharge from my ears.

I used some Antibacterial ear drops and the irritation and discharge quickly cleared up. However every time I put the airpods in my ear, even for 5 minutes, would cause a flare up and discharge.

I then purchased the foam Comply tips as I assumed the silicone tips were the cause of the issue, but sadly they did not make a difference :-(.

Now I'm in the same situation as many of you that I will give up the AirPod Pro's and look for an alternative.

The lack of feedback from Apple is really dissapointing, even if it was just that they are looking into it and may make a change to whatever is causing these issues in future AirPod generations. BtW, I had no issues with the original AirPod's.

@Apple Support ... I would really appreciate a reply.
