After i installed ben sur on an extern disc my disk choise are changed visual, i have the startsound , but i cant reset nvram, i do as usual shot down the mac, pres and hold p+r+cmd+alt, then i press power, but nothing happens it starts normally, why? What am i doing wrong? trusting apple?

Here's Apple's detailed outline of what you need to do. Make sure you are doing it correctly and in order (it says start up then hold down keys).

Thanks, but that still not work, in old days you should press the keys before the power, don that for many years and it worked, pressing the keys after the power only make the mac start op as usual. (sorry about the spelling)
