imac wont start

Hi,

I just updated to Big Sur. While loading the black screen with the white loading bar said, less than 1 min till complete. This sign lasted more that 45 mins. So, I hit the power off button, then I got the " blinking ? folder support.apple.com/mac/startup.

I tried the, option, command, P, R combo and it didn't work.

Does anyone have any tips?

My iMac's Big Sur installation was interrupted, and now it won't start I think the power blinked off. Have tried restarting several times. It'd get 3/4 of the way there, on the progress bar, and blink off. That's happened a few times. Now it's holding, which is different. Said 22min, now 28. I have a bad feeling the time will keep increasing. Help!!! I'm supposed to be working.

iMac won’t start up Hi, I wiped my mac as I planned to move it on to a new home, but now it won’t start up! As it goes into into starting the apple logo appears and the progress bar. Then it gets stuck with the apple logo and a small part of the progress bar. I have tried starting holding cmd+r but same thing happens, as it does with cmd+alt+r. the MAC was running El Capitan before I wiped it, can anyone help please or is it off to the graveyard !!!

My 27" iMac died and the black screen only showed flashing file icon with "?" and "support.apple.com/mac/startup". I keep rebooting it but it will not start. What is wrong? I do have backup external drive connected. Is this the 'Big Sur' upgrade problems?

Try a Safe Mode restart per the directions in Use Safe Mode to isolate issues with your Mac
