When I plug in my charger, it says liquid detected and won’t charge. Why??? There’s no liquid in or near my phone. This happened after an update along with me not receiving text notifications anymore. I’m getting more and more trusting these little bugs not working. I rely on my phone to take cards for work and when it won’t charge it’s costing me. FED UP

Your Lighting cable may have brought liquid into your Lightning port. I recommend that you let your iPhone sit and dry. If you need to charge, I recommend that you use a wireless charger if you have access, and that you inquire with the Apple support before pressing manual override.

If the liquid detector is triggered and the phone won't charge, then it would seem that there is some liquid present, irrespective of what you may think. Get it checked out by Apple.
