Having the same issue. Sitting 4 meters away from the Wifi Router, line of sight! 50 Mbit connection with 10 MBit Upstream. Yes, lots of other wifi networks around, but everything else (e.g TV streams) works perfectly fine. Only the iPhone drops from Wifi regularly during FaceTime calls. Video quality is also not the best. This behavior started about two years ago. No progress since then. I think it‘s a nice little bug in the Network Switching Algorithm of iOS. Really annoying they do not fix this!
And yeah, the first answer with generic „reset your phone settings advices“ just does not help at all. This is a bug in iOS! Apple needs to do something about this, not the end user!
i Lost WiFi signal when I used FaceTime, and quality video is bad on FaceTime and connection going flip-flop between Wi-Fi and cellular, thanks
