New MacPro with two HDMI ports not working with HDMI to DVI or HDMI to VGA adapters.

We recently received the new MacPro that comes with two HDMI ports. I attached the Apple HDMI to DVI adapter and the screen shows "no signal". I have another screen that I tried using the HDMI to VGA adapter and also nothing. I attached a TV via HDMI and it works.

Any ideas about why the screens aren't working?

What resolution is the DVI display you are using? the apple adapter and many others are for Single-Link DVI, up to 1920 wide but NOT wider.

what adapter are you using for VGA?
