No News app on my Mac (MBA Pro M1) running Big Sur

Determining your location may depend on how your mac is connected.

The application exists in all macs running Big Sur, but may be hidden.

It is in

/System/Applications/News.app

I am in Portugal. I have it too, but the Finder hides it (and with good reason, since there is no content available here).

The Terminal doesn't hide it, and I can even start the application.

EDIT: I said before it showed an empty window, but I have to take it back... guess what: the application actually works! Ok, a lot of the content is unavailable, but still I was surprised.

What do you see in System Preferences->Date & Time->Time Zone? Is the information there correct?

Apple News is available only in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Then it should be in the Applications folder along with its icon in the Dock.

Well, it's installed as part of Big Sur. There is no separate download. All I can suggest is to reinstall Big Sur.

Sorry to hear. All I can say is I have Big Sur installed on 5 Macs, Catalina on 2 Macs, and News is on all of them.

Do you have your location correctly set? AFAICT that is what determines whether News is available or not.
