Do not disturb conversation in Messages

I see that conversations might be muted and the instructions to change this appear to be to click “details” at the top right of the conversation.


I have a problem that the conversation I have with this contact is ongoing and goes back several months. I cannot get to the “top” of the conversation easily and do not wish to delete the conversation as I refer back once in a while. But I am startled to find out it was muted as I want to immediately know when he has texted. Is there a different way to toggle this feature off and on?

Not sure what phone or ios you have but there is no need to scroll up to the very first converation.


open the message - at the very top you should see i for info click on that - then uncheck hide alerts.
