MacBook Pro 2020 Screen Flickering

When playing video on Netflix, YouTube and other streaming services on my Mac, there’s a black flicker that consistently occurs flashing across the screen. It has become fairly constant now and only occurs during video. The problem goes away when I move the mouse on the screen or put it to the top to show the control centre. I have reset the NVRAM and restarted multiple times with still no solution. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hi there CarlAVII,

I have turned off True Tone and this seems to have fixed the issue the flickering no longer occurs when playing video for the moment. Does this mean there is an issue with the True Tone display?

If we understand your post correctly, your MacBook Pros screen flickers when you're watching videos and streaming services on your Mac. We'd like to help!

Do you have True Tone enabled on your Mac? If So, trey turning it off and then test a video or streaming service to see if the flickering as ceased.

 > System Pref > Displays > Display > True Tone

Use True Tone on your Mac
