Audiobooks do not appear on the sync menu

A few days ago my iPhone lost all of the CD audiobooks that I had on it. When I tried to sync them again from my Macbook, the Audiobooks section of the iPhone sync menu showed me that there are no audiobooks to sync. However, I re-checked the Books app on Macbook and not a single audiobook went missing. With that said, I can no longer sync my audiobooks on my iPhone and I have 2 facts that contradict one another. Did anyone encounter this issue?

Hi RaxGhost,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! It looks like your iPhone is no longer showing the audio books which were synced from your Mac and now you're not able to sync them back again.

Since the audio books no longer showing on your iPhone was unexpected, that could be why Finder is not showing them as synced to your iPhone either.

What we want to do is "unsync" the audio books by unchecking the box next to "Sync audiobooks into iPhone" and then select Apply.

Then, unplug your iPhone and restart your iPhone and Mac.

Next, start over with syncing your audiobooks once again to your iPhone, as shown here: Use the Finder to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer

Take care!
