Hi, I'm trying to upgrade my MacBook Pro 15-inch (Mid-2010) from Sierra 10.12.6 to High Sierra, but the Installer that is on my computer won't work and says it's damaged. This is the error message that I receive: "This copy of the Install macOS High Sierra application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS."

Okay, just did that. Went well. Now I'm attempting to reinstall. I'll let you know how it goes I'm the morning. If the same issue arises, I'm going to assume I'm stuck with Sierra until I get a new computer. Thanks for all your help.
Well, this is new information. It is possible there is a problem with the drive. It is 10 years old after all. If you can boot into Recovery Mode, run Disk Utility > First Aid on the drive.
Well, the same thing has now happened that happened when High Sierra was originally released (hence why I haven't upgraded to it yet). It attempts to install and after about an hour and a half of installing and rebooting, it freezes with a progress bar at approximately 95% (see photo). I'm not really sure what to do anymore, but this is so frustrating.

I don't know what you mean. First, there is nothing to uninstall since it hasn't installed yet. Either it moved to the Trash or it didn't.
My apologies, something weird was going on where I tried moving the Installer from my Applications drawer into the Trash and nothing would happen. It wouldn't delete. Then, I opened the actual folder in Finder, and I was able to delete it there. Thanks for your help with my very foolish question. I feel like an *** now.

Delete "Install macOS High Sierra" from the Applications folder. Try again while in Safe Mode.
Just delete it; it should appear in the main Applications folder and be called something like Install High Sierra. Then try to reinstall.
