CNN app

I spoke to an Apple TV rep today 1/7/2021 who confirmed that the CNN and NBS Sports Apps no longer work on Apple TV generation 3 and earlier devices.

She was correct. CNN has chosen to stop supporting the ATV 3 and earlier.

I noticed the CNN app was gone on all of my Apple TV's too, I just screen mirror my phone to my apple tv and sign in with my TV provider.

I have a 4K Apple TV and the cnn go app force quits as soon as I open it. Deleted and re-installed (it’s still available in the App Store), and the same thing happened.

Simply go to the CNN App on our phone and airplay it up to the Apple TV. Problem solved.

Problem partially solved. Now the phone is tied up while you airplay CNN.

So now you use 2 apple devices to accomplish one task ... out of principal I think it’s stupid to tie up your phone to stream a flagship app ,,, I refuse.

I’m ok with NOT watching CNN going forward... RIP CNN

It is missing from the menu of all of my Apple TVs. Weird.

Both of mine as well. I was watching last night and it suddenly disappeared.

She also hung up on me. That was rude!!
