Korg nano Kontrol studio

Is there a way to set Nano Control studio as a 'generic' midi controller to control things like volume, dynamics expression across all software instruments? or do I have to create settings for each instrument. I have set it up to work with Spitfire audio 'Abbey Road One' but it only works if I use the learn function for each separate set of instruments in the collection. Frustrating and time consuming!

One midi instrument - multiple tracks - with solo and mute I'm looking for a way that one midi instrument can have multiple midi channels feeding it, but also with solo and mute capabilities. The usual answer to this question is to: select your software instrument track, then go to the Track menu and select "Other>New track with same instrument" This does work, but these additional tracks cannot solo or mute their midi regions. If you use solo or mute, it solos or mutes the instrument, and all the tracks solo or mute the instrument at once... but what I want is to solo or mute the tracks individually. And I should add - the Power buttons on each track can be used to mute the individual tracks, so that's a half-way work around, but using that to solo is time consuming. Any ideas?

Am I able to map different MIDI devices to different instruments in GarageBand? I have two MIDI keyboards and want to know if I can assign them to different instruments in GarageBand, so I can play piano with one and drums with another at the same time, for example.

MIDI source for internal instruments? I have Logic Pro X set up with a Fishman TriplePlay guitar controller and TriplePlay software to access the various internal patches. But I also have an Alesis keyboard that is connected via MIDI out to a MOTU Micro Lite MIDI interface. I have an internal instrument track set up and it seems to default to the TriplePlay controller and plugin for source. How would I designate the Alesis keyboard as source and what libraries and patches could I use from within Logic? In the input side I only see TriplePlay listed as active input device. Why would I not see the QS8 (Alesis keyboard) as another option? I am doubtful that this type of issue would be addressed by a Logic manual or one of the peripheral device manuals alone. It appears to be how the Mac system and Logic manage priorities for USB input for the sake of the Audio/MIDI setup assistant. Or am I missing something? I do have the QS8/Micro Lite designated as source for an external instrument track. I had trouble getting the playback of recording on that track to be audible. But it was a setting on the QS8 keyboard that I had to make right. So the play back can only be via the general MIDI patches on the keyboard. I don't see how to assign other banks and programs that exist on the keyboard. It would be better to set up an internal instrument track and assign the QS8 as input source. If you are able to change the midi output of your controller, you can use the default midi settings of the Spitfire instrument. It is then no need to midi learn each time you create a new instance of the instrument.
