How do you make iMessage work while running on macOS Big Sur for Mac Book Air? I will appreciate any leads. Thanks

Start here => If you can't sign in to your iMessage account or FaceTime on your Mac - Apple Support

Do you also have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch?
