Search and replace within single column

Must be overseeing something, can't figure out how to search and replace text within a single column in Numbers 10.3.5. Search window applies to the whole document only? Breaking my head here. Thanks for help in advance.

Pages anomoly Why cant Pages Find/Replace accept the 'end of line' or 'paragraph' function? I build club elibrary catalogs with the majority not being capable of 'copy/paste' into Numbers so I have to put them into Pages then reformat so that they can be put into Numbers for easy viewing. I usually do a copy/paste of a 'unique sequence'; i.e. PPGenre; into the find function then paste it into the replace function and edit to whatever I am working on at that moment; i.e. dropping one of the P(aragraph) marks to remove a double paragraph so it becomes one unit instead of two. Then I do the end of unit, usually a double paragraph) and change it to something innoculous such as 5 X's followed by replacing all paragraph marks with the tab mark (this does not seem available as well) then replacing the XXXXX with a paragraph mark which invariably makes one line for each book in the list. On the old Pages 09, there was a selection in the find/replace at the top of the function that allows the selection of this capability. Is there any 'workaround' to restore this capability? WGB

In Numbers, how to target empty cells and replace with text Leaving the find field empty disables "replace" to be able to add text to all empty fields. A use case would be to replace emptiness with the word "none". I found this 2010 era workaround, but the instructions about where to put the script leads to dead ends, so I assume things in the MacOS have changed 13 years later. find and replace on empty cells - Apple Community What is the best way to do this in Sonoma?

Find & replace not working Find & replace won't allow me to enter text in the search box in a number sheet even though I have the sheet, a column or a row selected.

Yes, that's a limitation. You can't limit the search scope. You could give feedback to Apple via Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback in your menu.
