phone has been of for roughly 8 months and now it won’t turn on at all been on charge for 12 hours and nothing. I have tried the power reboot where you hold down the power and home button. Still nothing. I really need to access the phone asap.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your local Apple Store or take it to your local authorized service provider. The battery will undoubtedly have to be replaced.
