apple watch not paired?

So, my watch says "too many passcode attempts, reset apple watch and pair again" so i followed the instructions, reset it, then unpaired it and now, my phone is showing it as unpaired but the watch still says too many attempts, pair again. I have no way of pairing it again.

I have already tried resetting it by holding down on the side button and wasn't able to reset it that way.
