My computer is frozen with “Bluetooth Keyboard Setup” on the screen.

I have restarted my computer multiple times, but every time I do, there is a pop up box with “Bluetooth Keyboard Setup” on it and my computer screen is frozen. I can’t get it to go away. I have not tried to install anything recently. Any help would be appreciated!

We see that your Mac is non-responsive on startup and a pop-up to connect a Bluetooth keyboard appears, is that correct?


If so, it may indicate an issue with the built in keyboard on the MacBook Pro. Take a moment to review the following steps to reset the SMC on the MacBook Pro:


Should the issue persist, attempt to run a diagnostic on the Mac using the following steps:


Let us know the results from there.
