Unpairing Runkeeper

Does anyone know how to unpair my runkeeper app from my watch? I still want it on my phone to store my workout data, but if I manually add workouts (like treadmill runs) my watch counts the workout twice. So I want to completely remove runkeeper and data from my watch so it is only on my phone.

Hi AlexDear84,

We see you're looking for steps on how to remove an app from the Apple Watch, without removing it from the paired iPhone. We'd be happy to help go over that with you.

You may do this by launching the Watch app on the paired iPhone, and scroll down to the 'Installed on Apple Watch' section. This section will list all of the apps installed. Simply tap on the one you don't want to show on the Apple Watch, and then switch off the option here for 'Show App on Apple Watch'.

You can find these steps and more here: Install apps on your Apple Watch

Take care!

AlexDear84,

Thanks for clarifying the question! We can certainly help with that.

It sounds like you're looking to revoke access for Runkeeper to the Health app, which is where the data gets pulled from. This page will have the steps for that: Share health and fitness data in Health on iPhone

In particular you'll want to follow the steps in the "Control the sharing of data among apps and devices" section of that page.

Have a good one.

Thanks for your response! Unfortunately it does not fix the problem (my question may have been unclear). I have done that and Runkeeper is removed from my watch itself, but I guess what I’m asking is if there is a way to remove Runkeeper from syncing to my Apple activity at all. Even though Runkeeper is not on my watch, if I use Runkeeper at all it will add the workout to my Apple activity and I would prefer it not to. Here is an example: I did a treadmill run and tracked it with the Apple activity. Then I added that run manually to my Runkeeper app (I like to keep my data in that app). But now Apple has counted it as 2 runs and counted 108 exercise minutes.
