I just purchased a new ipad 4th generation the charging cube is larger and my other apple charging chord doesn't work/want fit. Do I need to get an extra charging cube & chord so that I can charge it at my office?

The new iPad comes with a power brick with a USB-C port and a Lightning to USB-C cable. This one you can leave at home.

If in the office you have an older charger with a USB-A port, you'll need a Lightning to USB-A cable and don't need to buy another power brick. If you get a new power brick, it'll most likely have a USB-C port, so you'll need a Lightning to USB-C as the ones that came with the iPad.
