M1 Mac Mini Just Arrived -- Logitech Devices Won't Pair

I just received the Mac Mini...my first Apple computer ever. I have a Logitech K780 keyboard and a Logitech M720 mouse that specifically say they are Apple compatible, but neither of them show up when I start the computer. I see the mouse and the keyboard icons (or at least I think that's what they are) on the screen but no matter how many times I try to pair them, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Another strange M1 issue, did you try to reset bluetooth settings ? That might be a fix..

  • A have a Logitech - K380 which is working perfectly fine with my M1 Mac mini from the first run of the mac
  • My bluetooth headphones and speakers work perfectly fine

But :

  • But my wireless hp mouse (not a bluetooth mouse) keeps disconnecting intermittently for 10-15 secs on my m1 Mac mini
  • I have pinky pixels intermittently appearing on my display
  • There are sudden blank screens that appear intermittently

Logitech's notion of compatible is to say: macOS 10.10 or later. That leaves about six years of Logitech testing of newer operating system compatibility as a big question mark? There is no other assurance that devices with that generalized compatibility range are compatible with Big Sur unless you contact Logitech prior to purchase and seek confirmation.

They make it clear that their C922 webcam, which has that wag compatibility range, is not compatible with Big Sur.
