Is FCP 7 works on my mac pro Big Sur 11.0.1 or I need to buy FCP X

FCP 7 has worked in a Mac OS since High Sierra. You would need to get a new application for the recent OSs.

Note that FCP X is a totally different application and you will probably need help in using it.

The course uses FCP X 10.4.3 but most of the instructions should still apply to FCP X 10.5.1
