Mac mini m1 bluetooth disconnects

Bluetooth keyboard will not stay connected with new mac mini m1. Keyboard works 4.0 with every other mac in the house. New mac mini works fine wired with 20 feet of usb extension wire. What is the issue? This is a deal breaker...will return.

The Mac Mini's have always had poor Wi-Fi and Bluetooth reception when compared to an iMac or iOS device.

Poorly shielded drive cables, display cables and a long laundry list of other electronic devices can seriously interfere with the Mac Mini's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth reception. To make matters worse, the wireless card is built in the back, the antenna is built in the bottom and easily blocked by shelving or by stacking it with other devices.

At this point I can only suggest rearranging your setup with the Mac Mini away from other devices and/or maybe standing on it's side to get the antenna more up and out in the open.

Thanks everyone for their suggestions. I tried one more attempt at connecting my Logitech K811keyboard by first deleting it from bluetooth devices on the mac-mini and then re-pairing again. Working flawlessly now. Going to wait a few days before calling Apple and cancelling the replacement they generously offered. Btw, the Apple tech had a list of devices which he said would absolutely not work on the M1 ... the Logitech K811 keyboard was one of them.
