Will Norton 360 affect the operation of a MacPro or iMac? I had Carbon Copy Cloner installed a few years ago. When I installed Norton 360 it disabled this application. Also I have had several failures trying to use Seagate Backup Plus Slim. Is there any connection to these issues with Norton 360.

Yes, most definitely. Macs DO NOT get viruses ... at least, not to date. Any third party AV app will cause more issues (as you seen) than solve. Besides Apple has already provided numerous security features that are built-in the macOS operating system. I would strongly suggest the you fully remove any AV or "cleaner" type apps from your Mac.
