iPhone 4 Unfair Case Program for Puerto Rico

Morningstar69 is correct. The iPhone 4 cases are being delivered through the Online Apple Store. The Online Apple Store does not ship to Puerto Rico. They only ship to the 50 United States (and I suppose the District of Columbia). I called Apple and they confirmed this.

The problem is that Puerto Rico is considered part of the United States for some things but not for others. Not even the US Constitution applies fully to Puerto Rico. Some companies, like AT&T, consider Puerto Rico part of the US, but others, like Apple, don't.

But the iPhone four was sold there?

Nope that's not it. Google is a great tool. What is below is part of what was contained in the email the OP likely received. If the OP's address is per below they can't deliver:

We are unable to complete your order. We do not ship to international, freight forwarder, APO, FPO, or P.O. Box addresses.

Here's what they say at the website:

The Apple Online Store U.S. ships items only within the 50 United States. No shipments can be made to PO Box addresses, United States territories, or addresses outside of the United States. You may not export any products purchased at the Apple Online Store.

So it is not some new policy relevant to only the free case program.

That's not true. They ship to DC also. I ordered my iPhone 4 from the Apple Online Store U.S. My bumper case too.

But only one iPhone reseller, AT&T. So it seems like it is unfair not to do the case program there through AT&T somehow! Can you have the free case shipped to someone in the US?

I too got my "free" iP4 bumper order cancelled and I live in Puerto Rico also. I think its totally wrong that Apple sell us their products and dont give us the support for them. So here in Puerto Rico we have the iP4 but no free cases for anyone. This says a lot from Apple.

Contact Apple and talk to them. It could just be an error on the part of the shipping software.

What if you have it shipped to an address on the mainland -- to a friend -- and have them send it to you?
