I bought Microsoft 365 but my old Mac runs on OS 10.13.6 and it requires 10.14.0 and up. Is there anything it can be done to make work?

That money is likely gone, unless you buy a newer Mac, or use the free LibreOffice..


Look into the Free LibreOffice, it handles MS Office files like Word & Excel…
