FileVault is turned on for the disk...

Ok, so I can't unlock System and privacy Preferences. I've found the same problem but conversation was 2 years ago and I can't reply.

So I have this "FileVault is turned on for the disk..." in FileVault section. Any recommends how to solve it?

Thank u in advance.

Hi jaxxoni,

Thanks for starting a new thread - it helps us provide a custom, tailored solution for you without distraction.

In FileVault preferences, does it say that your iCloud account can be used to unlock your disk? Or does it say that a recovery key was generated instead?

Also, just to clarify, you're able to log into your Mac but not to unlock System Preferences?
