FaceTime issues

When FaceTiming using my iPhone 6s, the video lags, freezes, my voice is delayed, and images lose connection. My phone is updated to 14.2 with no option to upgrade more. I know it’s not the internet as I have used other phones/iPads and do not have the same issue. Why is my iPhone having issues with FaceTime?

Hello Rickarka,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having an issue with the quality of your FaceTime video calls on your iPhone 6s. We're happy to assist.

Since the issue started have you tried a normal restart of your Wi-Fi router or iPhone? Also, does the issue occur when only connected to Wi-Fi? You can test only using cellular data by ensuring the option for FaceTime is on in Settings > Cellular.

If the issue continues when testing with cellular data only, test force closing the FaceTime app and testing again: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Cheers!
