Accessing Favorites From Lock Screen

I’m so frustrated- with the new update, Apple took away the ability to access my “favorites” from swiping left in the Lock Screen. I even went through and created a shortcut widget with my “favorite” numbers. But you can’t call them without unlocking the phone!!

This was my peace of mind for my preschooler and toddler to make phone calls to grandma and dad, especially in an emergency situation, since we no longer use a house phone (like most households.)

Anyone find a way around this? I’m super frustrated.
