iOS 14.3 missing amber alerts and emergency notifications.

They’re missing. Amber alerts and other emergency notifications are gone. The option isn’t there. They just disappeared. Were they moved a different location and not under notifications any longer?

why would this deliberately be removed?

Yet it happened to my phone within 48hrs. So what was debunked? The options to turn it on or off was on my phone Friday. Yet today it’s missing. Are you able to explain what did that? Did someone hack my phone? Hmmm? If you can explain how someone could remove those options from my phone without being able to touch my phone?

We are volunteers on this user to user only forum. We don't owe you ANY explanations at all. We have tried to tell you your cellular provider provides the alerts. You can keep wasting your time trying to lay the blame on Apple, but that's a complete waste of your and quite frankly now, our time.

Contact your cellular provider or stop asking why you don't have these alerts anymore. We can't help you.

Judging from the RBC Mobile app, you're in Canada.

WARN Act AMBER, Emergency and Public Safety alerts as denoted are United States carrier features.

Similar features should be available in Canada, but you will have to check with your carrier as they are enabled by your carrier.

They may not be available in some areas as some Governments do not allow you to shut them off, so there would be no setting to do so.

*In some countries, you may not be able to disable Government Alerts.

Apple didn't remove it. It's not something Apple would selectively remove. It's certainly still on my iPhone 12 and 12 Pro Max. But it's possible something happened in the update on your phone.

When you do an iOS update, it is advisable to Force Restart your phone immediately after downloading the update. Did you do that? If not and your signature is correct and you have an iPhone 11 do the following:

  • Press and quickly release the volume up button
  • Then press and quickly release the volume down button
  • Then press and KEEP HOLDING the side power button (keep holding past the swipe to power off) until you see the Apple Logo, then let go

See if the emergency alert options appear at the bottom of Settings > Notifications

I just checked my iPad which I had updated earlier this week to 14.3. Earlier this week the emergency alerts were there. Last night there was an auto update and now I do not have the emergency alert section at all.

I don’t understand it. I had updated my phone earlier this week and there was no update last night and I still have the emergency alerts.

Right, of course. Then what do you see in this screenshot?

Am I imagining that they are right there plain as day?

Scroll to the top of the page on a computer and you will see this:

Click on the word "Following" and it will change to:

Now click the "reload" (⟳) arrow for your browser.

If it changes back to "Following" after you reload the page, repeat the action; it may take several tries.

Once it remains the white "Follow" box after you reload the page, you're done.

I’m running 14.3 on my iPhone 11 Pro. When I look in notifications and go to the bottom I see the government alerts. You may wanna try and reset all settings first. This will replace the background picture, have to set up Apple Pay and WiFi and Bluetooth. But data will stay there. If that doesn’t work, back up the phone and restore to factory settings using a computer. Set it up as new first. If they are there then put the back up back on the phone. If it’s missing after the back up then it’s a corrupted file in that back up.

So if Apple didn’t take it off why is it gone? There is posts on mewe and telegram saying it was being removed.

Um... yeah... those are the same people who say that Trump is fighting a deep state conspiracy of devil worshiping cannibalistic pedophiles and actually won the election...

This was debunked pretty much as soon as it hit the inter webs.
