When I type the password to view my passwords in Safari it says I am wrong.

This is in the Safari -> Preferences -> Passwords section. It says to enter the password used to log into "My Name". I have tried every password I've ever used to log in and it says I am wrong. I cannot find a straight answer anywhere on here and it is getting a bit frustrating. Someone please help.

Safari Passwords When I enter Safari>Preferences>Passwords I get a message "Passwords Are Locked. To unlock passwords, enter the password for the user (followed by my name)". The box to Enter Password is blank. I assumed the password required was either my Apple ID password or my iMac Password. Neither worked. I then simple pressed the Enter button and I was in! Is there a way of adding a password to this box to give me a little more security? Thanks

Safari suggests password and then doesn't remember it A website asked me to reset my password and Safari suggested a coded password so I accepted it. Then tried to log into the web site and the new password isn't saved in the keychain so I am logged out yet again! I saw this was an issue back in 2019 - has it really not been fixed by now?

Safari won't update my password in keychain when I change the password. How do I fix this? I use the recommended strong passwords, so when it updates I can't just edit the password and input it. Is there a way to fix this so it updates the keychain password for the site? Alternate question: How do I copy the new recommended password so I can update the new password to the keychain? The first question is my preference, but if there isn't a way to do that, I can copy & paste it into my keychain, but I don't know how to let me edit it copy it. Help!?

It the password you use to log into your computer.
