apple ID password not working for updating apps

i’ve been having this problem for quite a while now and i recently just found out about apple discussions so fingers crossed someone knows the answer to my question!

whenever i update all my apps and even when i try individually updating them i put in the password carefully every time but it always says incorrect password! its only for updating apps, for downloading new apps with the same password it works perfectly! this is not an iphone problem because i have this issue on my ipad too for updating! this is definitely an apple id problem but i dont know how to solve it!

if someone knows how to fix this problem please let me know i would deeply appreciate it!! 😊😊
