Unable to unsubscribe/delete "All Mail" IMAP folder in Mail

Mail app on Big Sur 11.1.

I need to unsubscribe from the Gmail "All Mail" folder.

Other email programs (e.g. Thunderbird) allow "unsubscribe" from unwanted IMAP folders. This option does not exist in Mail. In other posts on this forum, users suggested to accomplish this in Mail: right-click on the folder and "Delete Mailbox". However, I get this error:

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.1

Mail doesn't work like other email programs. Depending on the gmail account, you can set it to not show All Mail in IMAP clients, but it seems they dropped that feature from newer accounts. The settings are in the Labels tab of Settings in Gmail.

If that doesn't work, you should probably use one of the email clients that works the way you want.
