iPhone 11 Having Volume Problems on FB Live

I do a FB Live recording once a week. I purchased a Shure MV88 external mic that plugs into the lightning port to help with the low volume issues. I am speaking about 6 feet from the iPhone as the phone needs to be that far away to pick up the video. I called Shure and they said my Shure external mic would not work. I'm iOS 14.3 Something about FB and Apple and a feud concerning data collection????

Can anyone help me fix this?
